Profile: The first wine was produced in Alto Piemonte on a historic hill of the municipality of Lessona. The average age of the vines is 75 years. It is a hilly terrain, south-east exposition, at an altitude of 330 meters above sea level. The planting is Guyot. The soil consists of pliocene sand of sea origin (in distant times the sea came over this region) with yellow orange-ish color. The harvest continues through mid-October. In 1993, the first Lessona San Sebastiano allo Zoppo wine was produced. In total, there are 10,000 bottles of production per year of this wine.
Maturation: first selection of grapes in the vineyard and then cooling of the grapes upon arrival at the Tenute Sella winery. Destemming and pressing, first fermentation in inox barrels with remontage and delestage. Medium maceration for 45 days. For the duration of 36 months the aging is provided in French oak barrique barrels and Slavonian oak for the large barrels, barrels of medium toasting (50 hectoliters and barrique)
Nose: Elegant spicy and fruity notes emerge in the nose, with delicate floral hints.
