Profile: Located at the foot of Monte Rosa lies Castello di Castellengo, a beautiful castle with a long history in viticulture. The rich composition of the sandy and clay soils of the vineyards gives the wines a unique mineral complexity and longevity. Made from 100% Nebbiolo, the grapes of this great wine come from three separate vineyards in Montalciata, giving the wine a complex flavor.
Aging: 36 months in 1,500-liter oak barrels and in bottle for 12 months.
Aroma: the bouquet is elegant and refined, with aromas of figs, plums, cassis, sweet spices, leather and a light touch of licorice. Medium-bodied, with harmonious tannins and good sapidity,
