Profile: the Barolo Mantoetto is the only vineyard located in Cherasco, more specifically in the hills of San Michele, where the Mentone family has been producing Barolo since the 1880s. This small Nebbiolo vineyard lies on a cliff in the hamlet of San Michele, on the border with the territory of La Morra. This area is very sunny and has an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of grapes. The soil consists of limestone and clay, which creates a full-bodied and soft wine with a varied bouquet.
Aroma: austere with a velvety, pleasant and intense aroma of violets and wilted roses
Taste: dry, full-bodied, robust but velvety with a strong tar aftertaste
Alcohol content: 14.5
