Marchisio is a family that founded its business on the love for the work it does, for its land and its children. Working in the present, the family learns from the past so as to be able to improve in the future. And it is with a view to the children’s future that they have been working to make all they do better and cleaner, in line with a philosophy they implement on a daily basis.

The winery has been restructured in line with a philosophy of sustainability. For instance, the new cellar has been designed to minimise environmental impact and has been built entirely underground to take advantage of the soil’s insulating properties. Furthermore, the family has added a photovoltaic system to supply all its energy needs. The system prevents 10,000 kg of CO2 per year being released into the atmosphere.

Marchisio’s philosophy is all about good wines from organic agriculture. The family currently employs biodynamic methods in the cultivation of its vines (composting, the sowing of cover crops, sexual confusion of potential pests). In all they do, they take great care of the land that hosts them and which is the most important element in their work.
