Podere ai Valloni  -  Boca Vigna Cristiana 2012

The 2012 Boca Vigna Cristiano is redolent of dried herbs, tobacco, orange peel, cedar, mint and earthy notes. Deceptive in its mid-weight structure, the 2012 packs a serious punch of acid and tannin that keeps the wine quite fresh considering its age. The Vigna Cristiano is a bit rustic and exotic, but it also speaks eloquently as to the potential of these sites. It is a wine for the adventurous reader.

Podere ai Valloni - Sass Russ 2018

The 2018 Sass Russ is absolutely gorgeous. Readers who enjoy Alto Piemonte wines will find much to like in the tension, energy and nuance here. Crushed leaves, tobacco, mint, dried cherry and herbs all come together in the glass, all framed by clean mineral notes that extend the finish beautifully.
