Villa Crespi's Cannavacciuol star in Castellengo/ Masterchef toast with Biella wines from the CENTOVIGNE wine estate
Episode Masterchef incorporated into the Centovigne company of Alessandro Ciccioni
The new Sky format "Masterchef" with the 2* Michelin chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo made a stop in the Biella area. The most beloved "judge" of Masterchef and 2* Michelin master chef was a guest at the Centovigne company on the occasion of the penultimate episode of the "Academy", a challenge between ten talented young people who are competing for a place in the kitchen of the famous Villa Crespi. One of the most difficult tests, the "test fuorisede", took place in the castle of Castellengo, where the cellars of Alessandro Ciccioni, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Biella and Vercelli, were located.
"The episode was last recorded in October with the secrecy for the broadcast." says the Alessandro. A wonderful experience, with 60 people involved in the filming, and in which Callengo Castle combines the production of wine with a historic residence. The broadcast had as a common thread the link between wine and cuisine: a three-course menu with various labels of the winery.
All wine from this excellent wine estate was transformed into food pairing: unique dishes were presented on the presentation table with the white wine Miranda, the rosé wine Il Rosa, the 100% Nebbiolo's Centovigne and topper from our Castellengo range.
Alessandro's story: Among the recipes made, the one that struck me most was the dish of spaghetti con la barbiatela al rosato". How did it go with Cannavacciuolo? "He's a brilliant man, a great connoisseur of the wine-producing area of Alto Piemonte. The spotlight of the Academy in Castellengo will not only serve my company, but the whole area of Biella and will contribute as a driving force for growth related to UNESCO and its creative idiosyncrasy".
